Administrative goals

Uppsala Akademiförvaltning is an active manager of capital assets whose ultimate goal is to strengthen research at Uppsala University. The foundation has no private interest of its own; all proceeds go to grants, several kinds of research-supporting measures, and other activities at the University.

In 2025, Uppsala Akademiförvaltning managed 610 foundations with combined assets of approximately SEK 18 billion. Turnover amounted to SEK 815 million and the result for the year was SEK 329 million. The distributable result amounted to SEK 355.2 million, corresponding to 2.0% of the market value, while the total return was 5.7%.
